The Challenge
The company wanted to use the Available to Promise (ATP) feature to provide their customers with more accurate information about the product availability. However, this standard NetSuite feature only works with inventory items. But the company is using kit items as well.
This enhancement was originally asked to the NetSuite implementor – a US based NetSuite partner. They declined implementing this. Following a previous successful project with NZR Solutions, the client reached out for this particularly difficult enhancement.
The Solution
The enhancement was implemented in 2 phases.
The first phase included the orders that were getting created. After the input from the client, their requirements were translated into an optimized solution to assign the estimated ship date on the sales order line.
The second phase targeted the already existing pending shipment orders. These orders’ expected ship date was impacted by an early or delayed shipment of the purchase orders, and inventory adjustments.
The Outcome
The result of this 2-phased enhancement was providing the accurate Estimated Ship Date on the sales order lines for the new and existing sales orders. NZR Solutions helped the client reach the expected goal and they were happy with the outcome.
